My Baby ETA

Privacy and Health-Data Policy

What pregnancy-related information My Baby ETA processes, where it stays, and how analytics works.

Effective: July 31, 2026

Summary

The free calculator runs in your browser and does not send calculator answers, pregnancy dates, probabilities, or forecast text to My Baby ETA. During the public beta, the Labor-Ready Plan also stays in the current browser and is not synchronized to the server. If you purchase and sign in to the Labor-Ready Plan, the information needed to restore that plan is synchronized as described below. Do not enter medical details into the contact form.

Calculator data

Your entries are held in the page while you calculate. They are not placed in a shareable URL. If you choose Save for 30 days, the browser stores the dates and answer categories needed to reproduce the result in local storage on that device. If you entered height and weight, only the resulting BMI category is saved, not the raw measurements.

The saved record expires after 30 days and is removed the next time the site checks it. A later visit reports that saved data exists but does not reveal or apply it until Load saved forecast is selected. You can remove it sooner with Clear saved data. Browser settings can also clear local storage. Other people using the same browser profile may still be able to access locally saved answers.

Copy summary copies forecast outputs and a disclaimer. It omits questionnaire answers and pregnancy dates, but forecast dates may still be sensitive. You decide where to paste or send the text.

Labor-Ready Plan data

The public beta provides the full Labor-Ready Plan without payment or an account. Its tasks, dates, customizations, progress, household selections, and normalized calculator answer categories are saved only in the browser's local storage for up to 365 days after the most recent saved change. This can include pregnancy-history answers and broad age, BMI, and smoking categories, but not raw height or weight. A beta plan can be downloaded as a backup, but My Baby ETA cannot restore it after browser data is cleared or from another browser. A signed beta cookie contains only the beta version and its issue and expiry times; it does not contain plan or pregnancy information.

After you sign in to a purchased Labor-Ready Plan, changes are saved in your browser and synchronized with My Baby ETA so the same plan can open in another signed-in browser. The synchronized plan includes the normalized calculator answers needed to recreate the forecast, including pregnancy-history answers and broad age, BMI, and smoking categories. It also includes the plan name, preparation choice, household selections, custom task and event names, dates, manual changes, and progress. It does not include raw height, raw weight, model parameters, or calculated probabilities. Stripe does not receive plan content.

The server encrypts plan content at rest with a key held by My Baby ETA. This is not end-to-end encryption: the service decrypts the plan to return it to an authorized signed-in browser. Plan content is excluded from analytics, URLs, application logs, and email. An owner identifier derived from the purchase keeps each browser cache associated with the correct purchase.

The browser keeps a separate versioned local-storage copy for up to 365 days after the most recent saved change. Browser settings can clear that copy, and other people using the same browser profile may be able to open it while access is signed in. Clear plan deletes the encrypted plan content from the live server and signed-in browser; the server retains only a revision marker that prevents an older browser from recreating the deleted plan.

Paid access has no scheduled expiration, so encrypted server plan content remains available until you use Clear plan or request deletion through feedback@mybabyeta.com. Production backups containing encrypted plan records are scheduled to rotate out within 30 days. A refund or manual access change ends access but does not automatically delete plan content.

Print/PDF, calendar, and JSON backup files are generated in the browser and are not uploaded by the site. Reports and calendars contain selected plan dates and titles. Backups contain the full locally saved plan and the normalized calculator answers described above. Anyone with access to the printout, download folder, cloud drive, backup file, or calendar may be able to see that information.

Purchases and access recovery

Stripe processes Labor-Ready Plan payments and receives the payment information and checkout email needed to complete the transaction. My Baby ETA stores Stripe transaction identifiers, the purchased offer and price, payment and refund status, access state, and a secret-keyed digest of the normalized checkout email. It does not store the checkout email in its purchase database. Stripe remains the source of the authoritative payment record.

An opaque, secure browser cookie is used to recognize paid access. If you sign in with your checkout email, My Baby ETA compares a secret-keyed digest of the submitted email with eligible purchases and sends only to that matching address. The submitted address is not added to the purchase database. The public response does not disclose whether an email matched. Sign-in restores access and any synchronized plan that has not been cleared or deleted.

Purchase records are retained as reasonably needed to provide access and handle refunds, disputes, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Encrypted plan content follows the retention choices described above. Recovery tokens expire after 30 minutes and can be used once.

Analytics

Google Analytics loads automatically on ordinary public pages. It is suppressed whenever paid planning access is active and when a saved Labor-Ready Plan is detected. Otherwise, My Baby ETA sends a page-view event and coarse custom event names such as calculator started, first forecast completed, planning preview opened, and checkout started. Custom event payloads do not include answers, dates, gestational age, BMI, probabilities, forecast text, task information, payment identifiers, email-derived identifiers, affiliate details, or custom event identifiers. The page URL supplied by My Baby ETA excludes its query string and fragment.

Google receives ordinary network, cookie, session, browser, device, screen, language, and approximate-location information when its script and events load. Google signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled in the site configuration, and Phase 0 contains no affiliate links. The analytics cookie lifetime is set to 30 days.

Google Analytics does not load on the public beta planner. The beta sends a small set of successful planner milestones to a My Baby ETA same-origin endpoint. Each request contains only a schema version and an allowlisted event name. The server stores daily totals by beta version and event name, without visitor, device, session, plan, purchase, email, calculator-answer, date, probability, or task identifiers. The browser's session storage retains only the names of beta events already sent in that tab session to prevent duplicate counts. These aggregate rows are retained for 90 days and are used only for directional product measurement.

Other service data

The hosting provider receives standard request logs such as IP address, user agent, requested path, and timestamp for delivery and security. Production logging is intended to exclude query strings and rotate within 30 days. Legacy result links created before July 22, 2026 placed calculator state in a query string; those requests may remain in older hosting or backup logs until they are purged or expire under the provider's retention process. The current application no longer creates those links and redirects them without rendering the page.

Chart libraries are pinned and served by My Baby ETA. If you explicitly open the advanced equations, a pinned MathJax bundle loads from jsDelivr with a Subresource Integrity check; that provider then receives standard web-request information. Phase 0 does not display product affiliate links or advertising in the calculator.

If you submit the contact form, My Baby ETA receives the name, email address, and message by email. Do not include medical details. The server necessarily handles ordinary connection metadata; a secret-keyed IP digest is used in a short-lived, one-hour abuse-limit file and is not included in the contact email. Contact messages follow a 12-month deletion schedule unless they must be retained for security, legal, or ongoing correspondence. This mailbox-retention control must be verified operationally at deployment.

Sale and disclosure

My Baby ETA does not sell calculator data. It does not disclose calculator answers to advertisers or affiliate partners. No display advertising script runs on the calculator in this version.

Your choices and contact

You can use browser settings or content-blocking tools to block or clear analytics cookies, clear saved calculator data, clear a synchronized paid plan, and avoid the contact form. Questions or deletion requests for plan data or contact messages can be sent to feedback@mybabyeta.com. Free calculator saves that were not used to create a paid plan remain controlled through your browser and are not available to My Baby ETA for retrieval.
